With my Vostroyans pretty much done, and my Krieg army growing out of control, i decided to restart on my 'Nids!
As with most people i suspect, i was swept along with 'Nid mania when the new codex was released, so rushed out and bought loads of models. These inevitably ended up collecting dust on the shelf! However, after taking inspiration from a White Dwarf Nid colour scheme, the hoard began to grow again!
The scheme was an easy one. The flesh is a 1:1 mix of Shadow grey and Graveyard earth, with a black carapace. The flesh was drybrushed with Astronomican Grey. The markings on the back were created with Tau Sept Ocre and then a layer of Bleached Bone. The soft tissue sections are Thraka Green and weapons are Charadon Granite with a Badab Black wash. There is next to no shading or washes on these models and i still think they came out great! Easy and straight forward, just what a hoard army needs to be!
Below you can see 16 Termagants undercoated in my Nid Flesh ready to be painted. Theres also a nearly complete Trygon Prime, along with some finished Warriors, a Carnafex, Termagants and Homagaunts. Next purchase will be a Winged Hive Tyrant which i have big plans for, so watch this space!!

Finished Vendetta Gunship
This Valkerie has been sitting on my shelf undercoated since the day they were first released! Now I finally have a use for it, and I think i've done it justice!
I went for an Imperial Navy colour scheme rather than a Vostroyan scheme. I reasoned that the regiment would probably be supported by Navy flyers rather than having their own! Plus it give the Vendetta a bit of interchangabillity, just in case i get the urge to collect ANOTHER Guard regiment!
I'm just a little unhappy with some bits of this model. I stupidly assembled the tail end wonky, so it looks lop-sidded from head on. Also i cracked the windshield while gluing it down, but this could be blagged as "battle damage"!
This Vendetta will carry one Veteran squad with 3 melta guns. With the Vendetta itself armed with 3 twin linked las cannons, tanks better beware!

Finished Medusa and Chimeras
Got the Medusa done now. Quite pleased with how it turned out - went with a "less is more" approach with it. However, im still not entirely happy with it. Think i just dont like the tank because of all the trouble i had putting it together!! Lets just hope it performs on the table now!
I also got my final Chimera done. Now have 3, each of which will have a Veterans squad in it.
6 more Vostroyans, 2 Advisors, and a Vendetta Gunship and the armys done!
